Depending with the price, the product will have different features. Most of the best products are more expensive. Lifespan. This is the durability of the spreader. Also, the spreader should be able to go for a long time unless you are using it in an extreme way. Type that is most suitable to your crops and fertilizer. This is determined by the size and shape of your lawn. For a large field, a drop spreader is the best choice. The reason behind this is that the user can pull the spreader directly behind the tractor making the job easier and quicker. For more than 1 acre, a broadcast spreader is the right choice. It will complete the task at hand. Quality. This will be determined by the material. I am sure that you will choose steel over plastic. A steel spreader has the advantage of precision. Now, let’s have a look at some of the guidelines on how to use a typical fertilizer spreader: Load the spreader on a driveway. This ensures that any spill over can easily be collected. Close the spreader opening when you make a stop or turns. Calibrate the spreader according to the manufacturer’s specification. Move at a steady pace when using a spreader. Sweep up any material on surfaces such as driveways, pour it into the hopper and apply it to your lawn.
